Coldwater Park, 75-plus acres, "the jewel of MNRRA"
Coldwater is labeled "Bureau of Mines" on this map. Expand Coldwater Park (27 acres) to include the adjacent Veterans Administration blufftop parcel (23 acres) and the Minnesota Historical Society bottomland (21 acres) to form one contiguous park linked to the National Park Service Island (108-01) in the Mississippi directly below Coldwater.

The Veterans Administration sold the 21-acre bottomland to the Minnesota Historical Society for one dollar. The National Park Service island, about 9-acres, is commonly used by dog park patrons.
